Christmas at Home

Merry Christmas to all, I hope everything is going well at your home as it is in mine!!
Angel, is busy making the Christmas dinner for us! It`s going to be wonderful... she is making her World Famous Sauce for Lasgna, Egg Plant Parmesan and her mouth watering Chicken Parmesan. The Family members who can`t be here are missing out on some good food and if they read this...they know it to be true.
When comes to really good food...no one beats my Angel`s sauce!! She is the best cook. I know she can`t make southern foods but, her Italian food and Irish food is unbelieviable. American cooking skills are off the charts with her. She makes the best food period. I have had the pleasure of trying all kinds of foods from the Philipen Islands to Porto Rican foods to tex-mex and of course Southern foods. And I love it all, from Chicken Adolbo to rice and beans to corn bread and fried chicken. Thank god my grandmother and my mom have taught me to make good fried chicken and great corn bread. Anyone who has tried my cooking has loved it. I would love to have the recipes of my grandmother`s christmas cookies { hint, hint} and the secerts to canning her figs and stewed tomatoes I remember those foods being used during the cold months when she couldn`t grow foods in her garden. Oh yeah and her pickles!! Oh sweet lord, that was good eatin` down on the farm. I have her cure for upset tummys....creamed corn, black pepper and sliced tomatoes cooked together to a rich thick soup of yumminess and very smooth on the tummy! It takes about 1 hour to cook slowly in a pot. All put together and stirried often on very low heat. Left overs can mixed with white rice or noodles and make yet, another meal of goodiness. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and you surrounded by family and friends who love you and yours..so from my home to yours..Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all of us!!!

Morning of the TEST!!

Alright, I`m waiting for time to past so I can drink another bottle of the stuff they say I need to take the test with. It`s a vanilla flavored drink that taste like a malted milk shake but, with a horrible aftertaste. UHG!!!
It is not the greatset thing for a morning drink. However I should say, it isn`t the worst I ever had. Well, it`s almost time now...to face the devil and drink the crap up. Gee, I hope I don`t get sick and toss my cookies over this!!
I really hate tossing my cookies, in the past I have done that. It wasn`t pretty!! I need to repost my blog on facebook so others have a chance at seeing it. Not every one saw the first posting of it!! So I`m off to facebook now!!

I have members!!

Yea!! My family is starting to join my page. I`m so happy!!

Dealing with cancer!

Well, I got the phone call, tormorrow I go for my CTS scan. Just to see where I`m at with my cancer. I`m still awaiting the phone call about my liver transplant. Mean while I`m letting no grass grow under my feet, I`m still trying to learn all I can about gardening and home canning and making my own pickles, I simply love pickles these days.
I`m going to start my garden sometime around Feb. I have all kind of plans in my head that I need to put down in a note book. I must get more orgenized. I`ve already started the pricing process for canning at home just to get started will cost around $40.00 to begin...but, the up note is I`ll have stored food worth $60.00 or more. My garden, to start will cost some where around $80.00 to start but, again I`ll have saved some where around $100.00 just in fresh fruits and veggies and canned goods at home. So the cost will be cheap compared to buying these things at the store. And once I have things rolling along my cost should drop to just around $20.00 every two months to keep it going. I should be able to keep fresh fruit and veggies growing year round both outside and in the house.
I`ll be using containers to grow things in and not the ground. Because I don`t need rows of food growing,  just a small amount for the me and the family. I plan to grow the things we like best such as tomatoes and lettuce, cucumbers, onions, strawberries, watermelon, maybe some grapes, squash, hopefully some corn, and maybe some green onions, and a few other things. I`m still reading about more and more things that will grow in our zone 9 gardening area. I would love plant some fruit trees for us like oranges and grapefruit and maybe peaches. We will see as time goes on how I`ll be able to do these things, I plan for and want to do. I think, if I was speak honestly, I want a farm where I grow veggies and fruit and meat animals such as chickens, pigs, maybe a few cows and I would love to have some horses. I would even want to have ducks and turkeys. Just having a home where I don`t need to buy stuff from the stores, that have all kinds of hormones and add ons or in our food. Seems like a dream to me. But, you never know, it could happen!!
God is great and he answers prayers as we need them, so I can wait and see.

Everything seems like Christmas...

Angel and I went to the store today. We gave to the Salvation Army...yea!!! So as we shopped and kinda worried about money and what we were spending, our total came to .10 cents more than we had and the cashier gave us a dime to complete our total shopping. She made it possible for us to buy our Christmas food! So Merry Christmas to her and her kindiness. God is every where and his Angels are busy making sure everyone has a wonderful Christmas! So Merry Christmas to all and may God bless you and yours this year and the new one to come next!!

In the beginning

Ok, once again I am going to try blogging. I am going to try and keep this site as up to date as I can. I`m just a simple man born in the south and have lived up and down the east coast of these United States of America.  I love this Country and the people that make this Country what it is...The Greatest Nation in the World!
The people in my life, are the most important people in my life....My best friend and mate is Angel, her kids, Erin, Matt, Bonnie, Sean and Larry are like my own kids to me. I love them with all my heart. I`m so proud of them. Erin is married to a great guy named Adam and they have a beautiful child named Katie. Matt is a Iraqi war Vet. I`m so proud of him. He was married and has a beautiful Daughter named Kylie. Bonnie is married also to a great guy named Adam, and they are expecting their first child very soon. Sean is student of Auto mechanics. And Larry is working for the retail store Business. We are currently living in a town just outside of Tampa, Fla. on the west coast and it is a nice place to be.
I am making plans to start a garden and I`ll be adding links to some helpful places along the way. As I learn from my mistakes and sucesses, I`ll be blogging about those things. So if you find this site and wish to follow it please do so. I`m not the smartest egg in the basket, but I try to learn all the time.
