Christmas at Home

Merry Christmas to all, I hope everything is going well at your home as it is in mine!!
Angel, is busy making the Christmas dinner for us! It`s going to be wonderful... she is making her World Famous Sauce for Lasgna, Egg Plant Parmesan and her mouth watering Chicken Parmesan. The Family members who can`t be here are missing out on some good food and if they read this...they know it to be true.
When comes to really good food...no one beats my Angel`s sauce!! She is the best cook. I know she can`t make southern foods but, her Italian food and Irish food is unbelieviable. American cooking skills are off the charts with her. She makes the best food period. I have had the pleasure of trying all kinds of foods from the Philipen Islands to Porto Rican foods to tex-mex and of course Southern foods. And I love it all, from Chicken Adolbo to rice and beans to corn bread and fried chicken. Thank god my grandmother and my mom have taught me to make good fried chicken and great corn bread. Anyone who has tried my cooking has loved it. I would love to have the recipes of my grandmother`s christmas cookies { hint, hint} and the secerts to canning her figs and stewed tomatoes I remember those foods being used during the cold months when she couldn`t grow foods in her garden. Oh yeah and her pickles!! Oh sweet lord, that was good eatin` down on the farm. I have her cure for upset tummys....creamed corn, black pepper and sliced tomatoes cooked together to a rich thick soup of yumminess and very smooth on the tummy! It takes about 1 hour to cook slowly in a pot. All put together and stirried often on very low heat. Left overs can mixed with white rice or noodles and make yet, another meal of goodiness. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and you surrounded by family and friends who love you and yours..so from my home to yours..Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all of us!!!
